Detailed description of Pine Barrens | Pine Barrens Golf Course
Pine Barrens is a Private 18 holes golf course located in Jackson,New Jersey.
Pine Barrens first opened for play in 1999.The course was designed by Eric Bergstol.
This course was cut from an evergreen forest and provides a secluded feel. An abundance of natural waste areas makes this course quite challenging. With little undulation on the fairways or greens, even lies can be expected.
The signature hole is #14, a 226-yard, par 3. From the elevated tee, this hole plays over a gorge to a large green.
Black tees: par-72, 7,118 yards, 74.2 / 133
Blue tees: par-72, 6,781 yards, 72.7 / 130
White tees: par-72, 6,324 yards, 70.6 / 129
Yellow tees: par-72, 5,757 yards, 68.0 / 121
Red tees: par-72, 5,209 yards, 69.7 / 123

A great value and terriffic for an outing. We'll be back next year for the 8th time.

Played an afternoon tournament, had a great time and the course was in excellent shape. The only minus was that the staff was in the way watering the course our first 4 holes.

I haven't played this course since they went private/semi, but then I havent missed it. Some people rave about it but it seemed pretty run-of-the-mill to me. Seemed pricey to me at the time...
